Biography

I'm originally from East Montpelier Vermont (we got our first flashing stoplight in town while I was in middleschool). For my senior year of high school, I participated in the VAST program through a local technical college where I completed my high school degree while simultaniously taking a first year course load in computer/electrical engineering. I even ended up getting two high school diplomas. I did my undergraduate work at Queen's University in Kingston Ontario Canada, getting a Bachelors of Computing with a focus on Cognitive Science. I took my third year abroad at the University of Edinburgh, where I continued by informatics/cognitive program. Since 2009, I have been working as a Ph.D. student at Indiana University.

Interests

My interests in cognitive science are still very diverse. I have been working mostly with robotics, natural language processing, and learning through games. A lot of my work has been aimed at multisensory integratin of perception under a natural language-like framework (holographic vector models).

Labratories

I am currently working in two laboratories here at IU:

IU Cognitive Computing Laboratory (Mike Jones)
Check out the lab's playground website for fun with cognition.

Human Robotics Interaction Laboritory (Matthias Scheutz)
