Urban Sustainability

There are proponents of what has been called a "steady state economy" for the City of Bloomington to address the purported conflict between economic growth, economic development and environmental health. We will discuss this steady state approach and viability of this theoretical foundation for urban areas. An organization called the Center for the Advancement of the Steady State Economy has a series of webpages that describe the theories and concepts behind the steady state approach.
