Michael d. PlantE, Ph.d. candidate

Welcome to the professional home page of Michael Plante! On this web page you can find not only my CV but also information about myself, my research and my teaching interests.

I am currently a 5th year graduate student in the Department of Economics at Indiana University and will be entering the job market this year. While I have interests in many fields of economics my real love is monetary economics.

My thesis is about how monetary policy should respond to oil price shocks. The rise in oil prices over the last half decade has spurred new interest in this topic and I believe that my research has some useful things to say. Further information about my research, including copies of the work completed so far, are available in the research section of the web page.

If you would like to know more about my teaching philosophy or my teaching interests please see the teaching section of the web page.

For contact information go to the contact link on the side. Feel free to contact me at any time.
