07/25/2010 I played golf with Professor Kennedy and Edwin. The first time playing golf! And went to the bar on the 65th floor of the Yintai Building.

09/18/2008— I went to Professor Jing Zhang of Peking University's talk, "How Do People Define Justice in Transitional China".
09/18/2008— The Disaster Relief Association was inaugurated. Professors Leslie Lenkowsky, Jing Zhang and Zengzhi Shi, and Mrs. Sue Gulley, Executive Director of the Monroe County Red Cross, attended the meeting.
09/03/2008— I taught the first Chinese class of the fall semester.
08/30/2008— My Essay, The Heritage Students in My Chinese Class, was published at Baoding Evening News.

I participated in the Chinese AI Training Workshop. It's rather intensive.

I worked almost full time for the international student orientation. I met a lot of students from China. And I was in charge of the luncheon.
08/15/2008— I was informed of the offer of a full AIship for the fall semester. I will teach first year Chinese to two heritage drills.
08/15/2008— It is the first day of international student orientation (mainly for undergraduates). I had a good time.
08/08/2008— I attended Professor Kennedy's gathering seeing off Professor Deng.
08/02/2008— I hosted a party seeing off some visiting scholars and welcoming a new visiting scholar and SPEA faculty member.

07/04/2008— I won the "who can chew most bubble gum" at a party by chewing 54 pieces of bubble gum at one time in less than 10 minutes.

02/01/2008— I was chosen as Project Director for the Across-Cultural Study of the Marital Communication Patterns, by School of Psychology and Brain Sciences. The purpose of this research is to examine marital communication and marital satisfaction across cultures, and one of the cultures we are examing is the Chinese immigrants to the United States.

I got C1, the highest level, from last week's Test of English Proficiency for International Associate Instructor Candidates (TEPAIC). Below is an excerpt from the confirming email:
