Academic Background

I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Computer Science at the Indiana University at Bloomington, advised by Apu Kapadia. I have my BS in Computer Science and Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, BUET.

Research Interests

My research interests are in the general fields of computer networks and distributed systems, focussing on security and privacy. I am interested in research related to improving security, reliabilty, and anonmity of distributed peer-to-peer systems by designing reliable communication model, using social trust relationships for sybill defense, and designing protocols to enhance security and mitigate security attacks on p2p systems. I am also interested in applying random surfing model and web mining techniques for crawling into social networks to analyze their behavior and induce the inherrent social trust relationship.
