I am a lifelong New Englander (besides a short stint in London around the time of my birth) who moved to the Midwest for graduate school. I grew up outside of Boston and got my BA in Computer Science from Colby College, a small liberal arts school in the woods of Maine. Being in Maine allowed me to pursue my other life's passion (other than research of course), which is skiing. Skiing these days in the Midwest is not too eventful, but, as several people have pointed out, I'm a whole lot closer to the Rockies than I used to be!

I'm a general outdoor enthusiast, so when the snow isn't falling, I can be found kayaking, hiking, and generally enjoying the outdoors. However the "outdoors" in Indiana seem to mostly involve corn and road biking, only one of which I have really taken to (hint: you won't see me on a bike anytime soon). So instead I seem to be splitting my time between the gym and enjoying good beers.
