Larry & Sherry

Larry works at Indiana University as the Director of Risk Management (check out their web page), while Sherry owns her own business, Basket Basics (no web page, yet, but we're working on it). We have five children (oldest to youngest): Twyla (studying to be a nurse), Chad (works for himself and his step-father), Kevin (going to IU), Jared (at home), and Justin (the music prodigy). We live in southwestern Monroe County on fifteen acres along with dogs, cats, and horses.

We're both active in our church, Sherwood Oaks Christian Church, love to walk and ride our bicycles when we get the chance.

(Where you see this image you can click and listen to a sound byte of the music we like. If you hear no soind then your computer isn't set up for sound. You should have a fairly fast connection to the Internet as sound files tend to be a little large.)

I have more interests than I have time. I dearly love to ride my horse, but haven't had much opportunity to do so. I also love to hunt and fish, and especially enjoy coon hunting. Really, anything that gets me outdoors is great. Two of my favorite areas to visit are the Smoky Mountains and anyplace in the Rocky Mountain range. We were in Yellowstone last summer and I fell in love with that area. Montana and northern Idaho are favorite spots, too.

I've become very involved in our church and sponsor some e-mail lists for Christian discussion.

I've played country music most of my life, playing bass and singing. I hope to get back to that as soon as I finish our new barn. I'm currently very involved with gospel music as lead singer and bass player in the Richardson Family Singers.

Still another interest - a passion, even - is genealogy. I love tracing my ancestors.

Sherry

In April 1997, I decided to leave my position at Indiana University to develop a business out of my favorite hobby, basket weaving. A friend of mine taught me the basics of making baskets about six years ago, and I've been weaving ever since. I soon learned there weren't enough hours in the day to work full-time, devote myself to my family and church, and weave. So something had to go!

Just as I feared, I'm learning there still aren't enough hours in the day to do everything, but at least I'm enjoying every minute.

I mentioned an interest in coon hunting. One of the things I've done to promote our interests is start mailing lists about them. A mailing list is an address where you send an E-mail and it gets forwarded to everyone on the subscription list. It's a great way to exchange information.

I also own lists related to our Christian work. One is devoted to Bible study. To join the list, click here and put SUB BibleStudy-L Your Name in the body of the message. To see what the group is studying, check the study guide. A companion list for discussion is being set up. Also available is a list that will put a devotional message in your e-mail box every day, and is a place to ask for prayer requests. Click here and put SUB DEVOTIONALS-L Your Name in the body of the message.

Genealogy is so involved it has its own page.
