Welcome to the STC OS X Tiger Training

This training has been designed to help consultants and support staff who are not comfortable with the newest version of Mac OS X to become more familiar with how it works. There are descriptions of tasks as simple as right-clicking with a mouse with only one button to things as advanced as looking for files using Tiger's Spotlight search from the command line.

Please take some time to read through this site and practice some of the skills so that when it comes time for you to solve a customer's problem, you know where to find the solution.

The pages of this training incorporate a simple convention to help describe shortcut keys. The following describes this convention.

COMMAND: command OPTION: option CONTROL: ^ EJECT: eject DELETE: delete SHIFT: shift ESCAPE: escape

This training only covers software and features that are a part of Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger. It does not include sections about non-OS software like iMovie and iDVD. For information about that software, check out the Multimedia Binders in each of the labs. If you can't find an answer there, ask your friendly neighborhood Support Staff.
