Bringing some time factual, some time ball faced lies about the best game con on the planet

Welcome to Indianapolis-my home town

Indianapolis is a convention town, 1 out 10 people in here in the city for the Hospitality industry. So we know something about taking care of convention attendees. Indianapolis has place 2nd for both National Political conventions, and since many of the past players didn't have the nearby downtown hotels, someday soon the republicans or the democrats will have their big bash here.

Time

Well DST passed in April 2005 and so we more than likely won't change until 06. Chances are we will stay on eastern time.

Flying in
You will notice that the brand new Terminal is now opened. Replacing the 70+ year terminal you all know. The main dirfference is that the taxi/limo/bus will be longer and cost more, sorry. That's progress. Enjoy some fresh popcorn while your waiting to go home. Indianapolis International Airport is managed by BAA the same company that operates London's Heathrow and Gatwick airport. With 160 daily departures and 42 non-stop flight and only 12 minutes from the Indianapolis Convention Center. Iwww.indianapolisairport.com

Driving in
I have been told by the powers that be that Indianapolis is a 5-hour drive for half the population in the US. Now it will be summer time when those orange barrels spring up, so take it easy and obey the speed limits. Goto

Mega-Keeper mention-If you see a police officer pulled over on the side of the road, you are required by law to merge to the opposite side of the highway. This is the LAW! We in the state of Indiana have had to bury too many young state troopers because some wouldn't clear the lane. Sorry but this is sometime we all are a little sensitive about.

Right Turn on Red
You may turn right at a red stop light after coming to a complete stop. Only if there is no sign telling you not too. You may turn left from a one-way street onto a leftward flowing a one street only if there is not a "No turn on Red" sign displayed.

Wi-Fi Hotspots in Downtown Indianapolis
Wi-ft sites come and go like the seasons in Indianapolis and its hard to keep track of them all. Many of the outdoor sites are free but most are pay. The access in the Convention Center is a pay site, sorry. Your just going to have to look around to see what you can find.
