I'm Zack Owens, Sophomore at I.U. majoring in Computer Science. Programming languages is my true passion, which I intend to pursue through my graduate education. My opinion is that programming language development and research is essential to the progress of the computer science community. Beyond my interests in languages, I'm also interested in distributed systems and compilers.
One of my favorite languages that I would love to involve in future reasearch opportunities is Haskell. Haskell is such an expressive language that allows the program author to express algorithms with as little code as possible. One of the major themes I enjoy about Haskell is laziness... both in the amount of code one has to write and in the nature of the runtime behavior.
